What was being decided?
Council was seeking feedback on the proposed hours of operation for the new Council Service Centre.
Background
In 2020, Council consulted with the community on the preferred location of the proposed Council Service Centre. Four sites and an open option to suggest an alternative were proposed. Based on feedback and project considerations, the site of the former netball courts on the corner of Williams Road and North Terrace was selected.
Following the consultation period, work began on the project. On practical completion Council took ownership of the new Council Service Centre at 12 North Terrace Millicent on Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
At the Ordinary Meeting on 13 May 2025, Council resolved to nominate the Council Service Centre located at 12 North Terrace, Millicent, as its new Principal Office effective from 30 June 2025.

At the same meeting, Councilnominated the hours of operation of the Council Service Centre to be Monday to Friday – 8.30 am to 5.00 pm (excluding public holidays). The hours were consistent with Council's current operating hours.
The ‘Nominated Hours of Business’ went out for consultation, with community feedback on the topic invited until Friday 6 June 2025.
Next Steps
Following community consultation, a report was presented to Council for consideration on Tuesday 10 June 2025.
