Have your say on ways to improve Disability Access and Inclusion in our Council area.

What's being decided?

Wattle Range Council Disability Access and Inclusion Co-design Group is seeking feedback from the community on ways Council can improve disability access and inclusion in the Wattle Range Council area.

This feedback together with previous feedback from community forums held in 2023, will be used to develop the Wattle Range Council Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2025-2029 (DAIP).

Background

In May 2025, Council sought expressions of interest from community members with disability, their families or representatives from organisations supporting people with disability, to join the Wattle Range Council Disability Access and Inclusion Co-design Group.

Co-design group members provide advice and guidance to Council in the development of the Wattle Range Council Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2025-2029.

The first Co-design Group Meeting was held on 22 May 2025 where consulting the community on their ideas on how to improve disability access and inclusion was discussed as a high priority.
