What's being decided?
Council intends to issue a ground lease agreement for a term of ten years with a right of renewal for a further ten years, to the Rendelsham Cricket Club over the portion of community land located at Section 452, Hundred of Rivoli Bay.
Background
Pursuant to Section 202 of the Local Government Act, 1999 Council may grant a lease or licence over community land subject to carrying out the relevant steps set out in its Community Engagement Policy.
Council is intending to issue a ground lease for a term of ten years with a right of renewal for a further ten years, to the Rendelsham Cricket Club over a portion of community land located at 'Rendelsham Cricket Club' Section 452, Hundred of Rivoli Bay.
It is proposed that the Rendelsham Cricket Club will continue to be responsible for the portion of Section 452, Hundred of Rivoli Bay, Rendelsham in accordance with the lease conditions. The permitted use of the land is for recreation purposes.
The proposed leased area for the Rendelsham Cricket Club is outlined in 'yellow' below.
* Please note the area not outlined in yellow through the centre of the oval is an unmade road reserve.
Invitation for public comment
Public comment was invited concerning the proposals to lease in the form of a written submission.
Feedback was received until 9 am, Monday 3 November 2025.
