Wattle Range Art Exhibition

Celebrating Art and Community ‐ 2026 marks 34 years of the Millicent Art Gallery — a cultural hub shaped by dedicated staff and volunteers, including the inspirational Barbara Wallace. Her legacy lives on through her support of local artists and the display of her work at the Gallery’s entrance. The addition of Gallery 2 last year has expanded exhibition opportunities and creative expression.

This year also marks the 11th anniversary of the Wattle Range Art Exhibition. Since 2015, entries have grown from 150 to over 200 annually, with more than $12,000 in prize money. The exhibition continues to showcase exceptional regional talent and remains a highlight on the arts calendar.

To be considered for the Wattle Range Art Prize, artworks must relate to at least one of the following themes:

  • Landscapes: Depicting or interpreting scenes of Wattle Range
  • Portraits: People of Wattle Range
